Who should get laser Genesis?
Laser genesis is safe for all skin types and amazing for anyone feeling like your skin is looking dull and needs a boost. It's amazing before an event and even better paired with dermaplaning for a nice exfoliation and better penetration into the skin. Although your skin will look better immediately, the results continue over time, as collagen builds over the month following the treatment. Laser genesis is known for it's cummulative effect. Weather your goal is to soften fine lines, scaring, even the skin tone, or calm down redness from roceasea, a series of 4-6 sessions is usually recommended for optimal results. The treatments are best spaced 3-4 weeks apart.
Laser genesis is recommended for anyone in there mid 20's-30's as a preventative measure, and a must for women in their late 30's-40's to slow and revers signs of aging.
How to Prepare for The Treatment?
You should avoid excessive sun exposure 2 weeks before and after the treatment. Make sure to wear a broad spectrum SPF 30 or higher everyday before and after the treatment (Also, wear SPF everyday) You should avoid excessive sweating from exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and very hot showers for 24 hours post treatment. There is still heat from the laser in your skin so this can cause irritation.
Is Laser Genesis Painful?
No. Laser genesis is the most comfortable of all the laser treatments we offer at New York Laser Loft. Certain Area's are more sensitive and it may feel hot, but people often compare it to sunlight in a concentrated area, and many clients even fall asleep during the session.
