Laser Vessel Removal Instructions-

• No excessive sun on the area for at least 2 weeks before and after your session (4 weeks prior if you had a sunburn on the area)

• No sunless tanning creams or spray tans 3 weeks prior

• No antibiotics or photosensitizing medications for at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment

• No medicated topical creams or retinol on the area for 5-7 days prior to your appointment

• If possible, you should come to your appointment wearing no makeup on the area

• Be sure to wear SPF before and after your appointment

• Avoid excessive heat for at least 24 hours post treatment- Including strenuous exercise, steam rooms, saunas, hot baths and showers

• Patients with poor circulation, a history of poor healing or take blood thinners such as coumadin or aspirin may not be good candidates and should consult with their primary care provider before considering treatments.

• Patients taking high doses of iron may have an increased risk of hyperpigmentation.

• wait 6 months after completion of accutane before any laser treatments

Post Treatment-

• Avoid the sun completely post procedure to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation and use a broad spectrum spf of 30 or higher.

• Avoid strenuous activity for 48 hours post treatment, When treating leg veins stay off your feet as much as possible for the next 48 hours.

• Avoid excessive heat for at least 24 hours post treatment- Including strenuous exercise, steam rooms, saunas, hot baths and showers

• Your leg veins may appear bruised or darker red following the treatment. This discoloration will fade over the next few weeks. Brown discoloration may take several months to fade.
